Nancy Pelosi reignites rivalry with attack on Donald Trump

Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is once again attacking former President Donald Trump in the media, The Hill reported. The pair were frequent adversaries until Pelosi lost her leadership position in the 2022 midterms.

The California Democrat was again antagonizing her nemesis after Trump was arraigned on yet another set of charges. He appeared in a federal court in Washington, D.C. to face charges relating to the aftermath of the 2020 presidential election.

"I wasn’t in the courtroom, of course, but when I saw his coming out of his car and this or that, I saw a scared puppy," Pelosi told Andrea Mitchell on MSNBC last week after Trump appeared in a federal courtroom in Washington, D.C. "He looked very, very, very concerned about the fate," she added.

"I didn’t see any bravado or confidence or anything like that. He knows the truth — that he lost the election, and now he’s got to face the music," Pelosi claimed.

The former president felt this opened the door to scrutinize the attack on her husband last year. Trump took the bait and slammed Pelosi on his Truth Social.

"I purposely didn’t comment on Nancy Pelosi’s very weird story concerning her husband, but now I can because she said something about me, with glee, that was really quite vicious," he posted Sunday. 'I saw a scared puppy,' she said, as she watched me on television, like millions of others,  that didn’t see that," Trump added.

"I wasn’t 'scared,'' he claimed. "Nevertheless, how mean a thing to say!" Trump said.

"She is a Wicked Witch whose husband's journey from hell starts and finishes with her. She is a sick & demented psycho who will someday live in HELL!" Trump concluded.

Trump and Pelosi have been trading barbs for years. However, Pelosi took her crusade against Trump to the next level with her accusations about his involvement in the riot at the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.

Pelosi has made the events of that day her entire personality ever since. She uses it to club Trump every chance she gets despite scant evidence that he had anything to do with it beyond his involvement in a peaceful rally.

"I knew on Jan. 6 that he had committed a crime," Pelosi had told New York Magazine. She would go on to brag to Jack Tapper about how closely the indictment of Trump mirrored the conclusions reached by the United States House Select Committee on the January 6 Attack.

"I just want to commend the Jan. 6 Committee, the House committee, bipartisan committee, Bennie Thompson and Liz Cheney and all the members of the committee and the staff for the work that they did," the speaker emerita said on CNN last week. "They laid a foundation of facts, about facts and the law, and made a criminal referral to the Justice Department," she added.

"It wasn’t our role to know what the Justice Department would do, if anything,” Pelosi later explained. "So, when it became clear that there would be criminal charges made, it’s interesting to see how similar they are to some of the charges recommended by the Jan. 6 Committee."

The entire Jan. 6 narrative has always been about smearing Trump over what his supporters did that day. Pelosi is a ruthless partisan who will say and do anything to destroy Trump as he seeks high office again, even if it means continuing the same tired, debunked narrative.
