Bollywood Television Star Nitin Chauhan Found Dead At 36

Mumbai is mourning the loss of a popular television actor, Nitin Chauhan, who was found dead in his residence.

The Times Of India reported that Nitin Chauhan, a famed figure in Indian television, was discovered deceased in his apartment, with suicide being the suspected cause.

Chauhan, known for his roles on shows like Crime Patrol and MTV Splitsvilla, was 35 years old at the time of his death.

His career took off after winning the reality show Dadagiri, propelling him into the limelight.

Chauhan had been battling depression, a struggle known to those close to him, including his wife.

She recently disclosed to the police his difficulties in finding acting work, which had been a significant source of stress for over three years.

His lack of employment weighed heavily on him, exacerbating his mental health issues. The police are investigating his death, preliminarily treating it as a potential suicide.

The news of Nitin Chauhan’s sudden demise sent shockwaves through the Indian entertainment industry, affecting fans and colleagues alike.

Vibhuti Thakur, a fellow actor, expressed her grief on a social platform, saying, “My dear friend, rest in peace. I’m truly shocked and saddened.”

Sudeep Sahir, another colleague, echoed this sentiment with a brief, "Rest in peace, friend."

Born in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, Chauhan first captured public attention by winning the second season of Dadagiri in 2009.

His career included notable roles on various television programs including the popular Zindagi Dot Com.

Aside from his acting, he was passionate about fitness, frequently sharing related content on social media, which endeared him to many of his followers.

His unexpected death has left many questioning the pressures faced by actors in the entertainment industry, particularly those dealing with mental health issues.
