President Joe Biden's 2024 campaign team must have thought they were clever.
According to The Daily Wire, Biden's campaign created an unexpected buzz on Monday after it joined former President Donald Trump's Truth Social platform.
"Well. Let’s see how this goes. Converts welcome!" the Biden camp's first post read.
If they thought they were clever, they were wrong, as it backfired in spectacular fashion, with the president and his team utterly destroyed within hours of its first post.
Crooked Joe Biden and his team are finally acknowledging that Truth Social is hot as a pistol and the only place where real news happens,” Trump campaign spokesman Steven Cheung said.
He added, "Unfortunately for Biden, his continuation of spreading misinformation to gaslight the American people in order to distract from his disastrous record won’t work and they’ll be ratioed to oblivion."

Hilariously, the Biden campaign told Fox News, where the story first broke, that it joined the platform to "inject our message" into GOP primary coverage and to fight against "mis and disinformation."
The "Biden-Harris HQ" account posted a far different message on Twitter, probably after they realized what a giant mistake it was to make a Truth Social account.
"We just joined Truth Social, mostly because we thought it would be very funny," the campaign wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

Fox News noted:
There’s very little ‘truth’ happening on TruthSocial, but at least now it’ll be a little fun," a senior Biden campaign aide told Fox News Digital on Monday.
President Biden is currently struggling, hard, in 2024 general election polls, remaining far closer to Trump than the Democratic Party would presumably like to see. One recent poll even had Trump up on Biden by 10 points.
Only time will tell if the Biden campaign can figure out a way to excite their voters, but so far they have missed the mark, big time. Joining Truth Social was nothing more than a desperate stunt that didn't seem to work out well.
