President Joe Biden has not spoken with former President Barack Obama regarding whether to run for reelection in 2024, according to Politico Magazine.
The report seems to be a change from other reports that indicate many Democrats expect Biden to run again, though not all agree he should.

"It bolstered their exasperated reminders that the president always says he intends to run again," the report said.
"The issue: It wasn't true. To this day, Obama and Biden have yet to discuss the next election," it added.

The news comes as a growing number of Democrats have spoken out against Biden running in 2024 or have been quiet about supporting him. Others have stumbled in their attempts to explain the next election for the party's president.
The report also fuels speculation regarding who could run if Biden does not. Though Harris would likely be a key candidate considering a run, several others would likely seek the spot to run against former President Donald Trump or another GOP candidate in the next presidential election.
