Biden appoints Obama-era leader to oversee Ukraine's economic recovery

President Joe Biden will name Penny Pritzker to lead Ukraine's economic recovery, according to the White House.

National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan made the announcement on Thursday regarding the former Obama official.

Her background

"Pritzker, a close Chicago associate of former President Barack Obama and heiress to the Hyatt hotel fortune, was passed up for a cabinet post after the 2008 election due to her involvement in a subprime mortgage collapse at Superior Bank, which failed in 2001," Breitbart News reported.

"That was considered a political liability in an administration that promised voters it would fix the mess on Wall Street that had led to a massive recession and ushered Obama into office," it added.

Questionable connections

“But this is also personal for me. My family fled Ukraine in the late 1800s, and my attachment to the country remains," Pritzker said in a statement.

"During my tenure as Commerce Secretary, I worked with the Ukrainian government to advance progress on reforms, draw private sector interest, and coordinate with partner governments — activities I will also pursue in this role," she continued.

The familiar Pritzer family is also well-known to many in Illinois. She is the brother of Democratic Gov. J.B. Pritzer, also with Ukrainian heritage.

Obama's third term?

"It’s Obama that is running the White House and Biden is the puppet so the weaker he is, the more dementia he has, the easier it is for the people behind him to control what’s going on. And that is really bad," Dr. Lieberman claimed in a report by the Express.

The claim comes as many voters agree that Biden is too old for another term. "Nearly seven in 10 registered voters, 68 percent say the 80-year-old president is 'too old for another term,' according to a Yahoo News/YouGov poll released on Wednesday," the report noted.

The concerning connections with both Obama and other Democrats along with Ukraine is drawing growing concern among Americans who see the massive amount of tax dollars headed overseas as a problem.

The Ukraine situation was also announced as its president met with American leaders and spoke at the United Nations about the war in his country in a massive publicity push for Ukrainian support against Russia.
