Biden Admits To Terrible Debate Performance, Assures Democrats That He Is The Guy To Support In 2024

President Biden acknowledged his poor performance in a recent debate and reaffirmed his commitment to continuing his campaign against former President Trump.

The Hill reported that Biden highlighted his achievements and focused on the importance of the Black community's vote in an attempt to reassure wavering Democrats of his ability to win in November.

Ironically, Biden citing the importance of the Black community's vote is just one thing that has Democrats extremely worried going in November. Biden is part of the reason that the Democrat Party is shedding Black voters by the hundreds.

In a prerecorded radio interview with Wisconsin host Earl Ingram on Thursday, Biden openly admitted that he did not perform well during the debate.  His struggle to articulate his ideas and counter Trump's statements has caused concern among Democrats and supporters.

Despite this setback, Biden confirmed that he is determined to continue his campaign and defeat Trump in the upcoming November election.

Biden's Self-Reflection and Determination

Biden was candid about his debate performance. "I screwed up," he admitted. He described the experience as a "bad night" and recognized that it created some turmoil among his supporters. However, Biden emphasized the importance of resilience, saying, "when you get knocked down, just get back up," and expressed confidence in winning the election.

During the debate, Biden struggled to deliver clear responses and effectively counter Trump's remarks. This led some media outlets, two House Democrats, and others to suggest that he should consider withdrawing from the campaign.

Despite these challenges, Biden placed focus on his significant accomplishments over his time in office. He pointed to his efforts in lowering prescription drug prices and expanding healthcare for veterans as notable achievements. "That’s 90 minutes on stage. Look at what I’ve done in 3 1/2 years," Biden asserted, emphasizing that his track record should speak louder than a single debate performance.

In his interview, Biden didn't hesitate to criticize Trump’s record, particularly his treatment of veterans and the Black community. Biden condemned Trump's remarks during the debate, especially those referring to “Black jobs.” According to Biden, such terminology implied that Black people were only suited for manual or menial labor.

Biden also recalled several controversial actions taken by Trump, including questioning George Floyd's humanity, leading the birther movement against Barack Obama, and falsely accusing the Central Park Five. These points were part of his broader argument that Trump has consistently failed to support and respect the Black community.

Call for Engagement from the Black Community

Understanding the critical role of the Black community in elections, Biden emphasized the importance of their vote.

"The vote of the Black community matters intensely," he noted. He urged them to show up at the polls, highlighting that their voices must be heard for true representation. "Lots of close elections in the last couple of years, and every vote counts," Biden said, reinforcing the significance of each vote in determining the election's outcome.

Throughout his remarks, Biden reminded listeners of the progress made since the 2020 election, attributing much of this to the active participation of the Black community.

He expressed appreciation for their past efforts and called on them to continue their support to sustain and advance this progress.

Biden's commitment to his campaign remains steadfast despite the critique of his debate performance.

He reflected on his long history of public service and significant legislative achievements as reasons to remain in the race.

Closing Remarks on Campaign Commitment

By acknowledging his misstep in the debate, Biden aimed to move past the incident and refocus on the larger picture—his policies, achievements, and the crucial need to engage voters, particularly in the Black community. His message was clear: he is prepared to fight vigorously against Trump and uphold the interests of all Americans.

In summary, President Biden acknowledged his poor debate performance but remained determined to continue his campaign and defeat former President Trump in November.

He highlighted his significant accomplishments in office and criticized Trump's record on issues concerning veterans and the Black community. Emphasizing the importance of every vote, especially from the Black community, Biden called for continued support to ensure progress in the upcoming election.
