President Joe Biden and his administration are facing litigation in regards to its radical climate change agenda.
According to reports, Special Presidential Envoy for Climate (SPEC) John Kerry has caused a legal headache for the White House as his alleged withholding of information has sparked a lawsuit against the Biden administration.
The lawsuit was filed by Power The Future, an organization that advocates for workers in the energy sector.
The Biden administration's energy policies have focused on dismantling the coal and gas-powered sectors, which has cost untold numbers of American jobs and resulted in higher prices.
Power The Future's lawsuit accuses Kerry of withholding information like the names of workers in his office, among other items.
The Center Square noted:
The organization adds that Kerry has dodged requests to disclose information about his office for the past three years, claiming that he only answers to the president.
Power The Future founder and Executive Director Daniel Turner released a statement on the lawsuit, holding nothing back in his thoughts about what's going on behind the scenes and calling out Kerry's well-documented hypocrisy.
"John Kerry is a public servant, and as a public servant, you have to be transparent...And up until now, John Kerry's said 'I'm not telling you.'
That's not a good enough answer."@DanielTurnerPTF discusses his lawsuit against the Biden admin on @FoxBusiness 'The Bottom Line' pic.twitter.com/WVNXwH9Qde— Power The Future (@powerthefuture) February 12, 2024
"For nearly three years, John Kerry has been jet-setting on the international climate conference circuit while sending taxpayers the bill," Turner said.
He added, "Today, we begin the process of teaching John Kerry and Joe Biden that they work for the taxpayers. No one should have to waste resources on litigation, but that is our only option since John Kerry thinks he can keep his office off the books."
The Biden administration's extreme push for green mandates and other "green" technology that isn't worth the cost or effort was also noted in the watchdog group's lawsuit against the Biden administration.
"The American people are on the receiving end of countless green mandates and rules, gas stove bans and skyrocketing utility bills, with no opportunity for consent or input, and many of these decisions are hatched in John Kerry’s office," Turner said.
Social media users overwhelmingly supported Turner's lawsuit, noting that it's about time someone does something about the situation, as Republicans in Congress have shown little interest in fighting back.
Only time will tell if the lawsuit succeeds, but it's an important first step in fighting back.
