Audience starts chanting 'Trump, Trump, Trump' during Trump-less GOP debate

The crowd at the Republican presidential primary debate, on Wednesday, was caught on camera, during a commercial break, vigorously chanting, "Trump, Trump, Trump."

The thing is that former President Donald Trump was not at the debate.

Take a look and listen:

As you can see in the video, the five Republican candidates who participated in the debate - Trump's so-called rivals - were on the stage when the chant of "Trump, Trump, Trump" broke out.

You can also see in the video how the crowd got reprimanded for the chant.

In the video, a female individual breaks up the chant and can be heard telling the crowd, "That was awesome, you guys. But, that's the last time we're going to do that, all right? Because we really, really, really want to hear from these candidates, and they worked really hard for us tonight, okay?"

As the former president's son Donald Trump Jr. points out, the chant tells us a lot about where things currently stand with regard to the Republican presidential primary race.

Trump, according to Real Clear Politics, currently leads the Republican field by a margin of 43.7 percentage points. This is Trump's average lead on the second-place candidate, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R).

So, if the polls are to be believed, then, as Donald Trump Jr. suggested, the Republican presidential primary race really is over. Trump is going to win.

Trump skipped Wednesday's debate and held his own campaign event, just as he did during the first two Republican presidential primary debates. Instead of the showing up at the debate, the former president held a rally nearby, in Hialeah, Florida, where he received the endorsement of Arkansas Gov. Sarah Sanders (R).

Sander, the former Trump administration press secretary, said:

Our country has never needed Donald Trump more than we do right now. We've got out of control inflation, violent crime, an open border, a rising China. Biden and the left have failed over and over again, and they know it, and you know it, and it is time for a change. That is why tonight I am so proud to endorse my former boss, my friend, and everybody's favorite president, Donald J. Trump.

It is looking as though, once again, Trump won the Republican presidential primary debate without even showing up, which has to be particularly embarrassing for those candidates who remain in the race.
