Actor And Publicist Maxie Solters Passes Away At 37

Maxie Solters, a third-generation entertainment publicist and actor, passed away unexpectedly in Los Angeles on Thursday. She was 37 years old. The news of her death was confirmed by Scoop Marketing, the firm founded by her father, Larry Solters.

Breitbart reported that Scoop Marketing announced Solters’ death, but no cause was provided. Solters was born on March 22, 1987, in Sherman Oaks, Los Angeles, and was a lifelong resident of the city.

Her career in the entertainment industry began after graduating with a theater degree from the University of Southern California.

Legacy of a Publicist and Performer

Solters joined Scoop Marketing in 2012, following in the footsteps of her father and grandfather, Lee Solters, a legendary publicist who represented stars like Barbra Streisand, Frank Sinatra, and Michael Jackson.

At Scoop Marketing, Maxie Solters represented prominent clients including the Hollywood Bowl, the Kia Forum, and the Music Forward Foundation.

In addition to her publicist role, Solters was a member of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) and pursued a career in acting.

She appeared in various theater productions and created and produced a comedy web series. Before transitioning to publicity, Solters worked in film and television casting in Los Angeles, where she honed her skills and established herself in the entertainment industry.

Beyond her professional achievements, Solters was known for her activism. She was involved in campaigns with One Billion Rising and V-Day, organizations dedicated to ending violence against women.

Her commitment to these causes reflected her passion for making a difference in the world, and she used her platform to raise awareness and drive change.

Scoop Marketing, in their statement, expressed their sorrow at her passing, noting, "Her unwavering optimism and kind heart touched the lives of many, leaving a lasting legacy of love and kindness." This sentiment underscores the impact Solters had not only on the industry but also on those who knew her personally.

A Family of Publicists and Performers

Maxie Solters’ death marks a significant loss for a family deeply entrenched in the entertainment industry. Her grandfather, Lee Solters, was one of the most renowned publicists of his time, and her father, Larry Solters, continued this legacy by founding Scoop Marketing, where Maxie herself eventually found her calling.

The Solters family’s contributions to the entertainment world are well-documented, with Larry Solters' firm representing high-profile clients such as the Eagles, John Mayer, and Dead & Company.

Maxie Solters' work at Scoop Marketing was a continuation of this family tradition, showcasing her dedication to both her family’s legacy and her clients.

Maxie Solters is survived by her father, Larry Solters, and his partner, Carol Greenhut, as well as her mother, Debra Graff. She also leaves behind her longtime partner, Dim Dobrin. The loss is deeply felt by her family, friends, and colleagues who admired her vibrant spirit and dedication to her work.

While the cause of her death remains unknown, the shock of her sudden passing has reverberated throughout the entertainment industry. The Los Angeles Times reported her death as "unexpected," capturing the disbelief and sadness felt by those who knew her.

As the entertainment industry mourns the loss of Maxie Solters, her legacy as a publicist and performer will undoubtedly endure. Her contributions to the field, coupled with her advocacy for social causes, paint a picture of a life lived with purpose and passion.
