Donald Trump’s ballroom… it is such a silly subject, but my God, has it really gotten under the skin of Democrats.

This is a perfect example of how bad TDS is on the left, so much so, in fact, that even after their lies have been debunked, liberals continue to repeat them and get embarrassed on live TV.

His main priority

When Donald Trump announced the ballroom, Democrats were upset.

However, when he decided to tear down the entire East Wing to make room for the new structure, well, there was a massive meltdown on the left over it.

After the fact, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt stated, while talking about the renovations, that the ballroom was Trump’s main priority.

It was pretty clear that the facility was not Trump’s main priority overall, just in this specific realm.

Dems get fact-checked

Democrats grabbed onto this statement and started trumpeting it everywhere they could, as though the ballroom was the president's singular focus.

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) was among them, having stated, “The Trump administration just declared that erecting a ballroom is the President’s main priority.” Meaning it was more important than all other issues, including health care for Americans.

That characterization was fact-checked by multiple outlets, including PBS, and they all stated that the statement was being taken out of context, and the Democrats' claim was false.

Now, the fact-checks were posted days and days ago, yet Democrats have continued to try to push the same narrative, much at their own peril.

Called out

This week, Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) was on CNN with anchor Kaitlan Collins when she repeated the lie on-air, but she was swiftly called out by the host.

Crockett stated, “In fact, we heard the press secretary say his main priority is the ballroom — the ballroom that no one asked for. The ballroom that requires him to destroy historic pieces of the White House.”

Collins quickly cut her off, interrupting her, “Yeah, and that context of the comment from Karoline Leavitt -- she was asked if the president was working on any other renovations when it came to the White House. And she was saying his focus was the ballroom.”

Finally, the media is doing its job. For the first time in forever, Democrats are being called out for their lies. The best part of the entire exchange was that Crockett did not even push back when Collins corrected her because she knew she was telling a lie! You cannot trust a politician!
