The House Ethics Committee is investigating Representative Matt Gaetz (R-FL) over allegations of sexual misconduct and drug use in what many see as a retaliatory move against Gaetz for his refusal to go along with the establishment Republican agenda.

Despite the DOJ concluding its probe in 2023 without charges, the House committee opted to extend its inquiry due to persistent allegations and a lack of cooperation from Gaetz.

Meanwhile, other claims against Gaetz regarding the misuse of state identification records, campaign funds, and the acceptance of bribes have been dismissed for lack of substantive evidence.

"The House Ethics Committee has closed four probes into me, which emerged from lies intended solely to smear me.
