Vice President Kamala Harris has hired a new speechwriter, making it the third time she has hired someone for the role in less than two years in office.
The announcement comes as the vice president has continued a series of gaffes that have included her love for Venn diagrams and a viral video about community banks being "in the community."

"Dave Cavell, who has previously served as speechwriter for White House climate envoy John Kerry and in the Obama White House, has been hired in the role, per Politico," the Washington Examiner reported.
"Harris's office has seen multiple shake-ups in the past year, with two head speechwriters leaving and several other aides departing," it added.
They say the 3rd time is the charm. However, after 16 people have left Kamala’s ‘toxic work environment’ I don’t believe any charm can reshape, redo or reimagine Kamalahttps://t.co/qWedldKB8y

The latest hire comes just weeks ahead of critical midterm elections in November, with both parties fighting for an advantage in the House and Senate.
Her new speechwriter might not solve all of the party's concerns, but maybe he'll help the vice president's speeches improve in the weeks ahead.
