Between Friday and Sunday night, eighteen individuals were shot in the city of Chicago under the leadership of Democratic Mayor Brandon Johnson, and another eight were shot in a second Democratic hub.
According to a report by Breitbart News, at 9:01 p.m. on Sunday evening, ABC 7 reported that at least 18 individuals had been shot during the course of the weekend. According to CBS News, one of the victims was a girl of 16 years old who had been shot.
The sixteen-year-old victim was inside a residence "in the 7200 block of South Honore Street" when a white automobile drew up, and shortly after that, someone inside the vehicle opened fire.
The girl was hit by one of the bullets, which caused her to sustain injuries that were not considered to be life-threatening.
A man and a woman, both 25 years old, were shot as they were sitting in a parked vehicle shortly after the incident. After advancing, someone opened fire from inside a white vehicle. At the time of publication, both were in stable condition.
Another report by Breitbart News detailed the eight people who were shot to death in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, a city governed by Democrats. The killings took place a span of less than 48 hours, beginning on Saturday and continuing until early Monday morning.
According to CBS News, the first gunshot that resulted in a fatality took place just before 7:00 a.m. on Saturday, and the victim was a guy in his fifties.
Edward Harlem, 33 years old, passed away as a result of a gunshot wound to the neck that he received during the subsequent shooting at 8:49 a.m. on Saturday, according to ABC.
A little time later, around 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, the body of a 45-year-old woman was discovered inside a residence "in the 100 block of East Pastorius Street."
She had been shot to death. Patricia Hall was determined to be the woman in question.
Andre Moore, 26, was fatally shot on Saturday at 12:15 p.m. after receiving numerous gunshot wounds. He stated that he was "in the 7300 block of N. 19th Street" at the time that the bullets were fired.
Tamere Mountcastle, 22 years old, was shot and killed at 11:27 p.m. on Saturday "in the 1400 block of W. Chew Avenue." She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Around 2:15 in the morning on Sunday, twenty-six-year-old Dashon Land was found dead "in the 2800 block of N. Bonsall Street" after being shot.
Other than the fact that Land was recognized as a citizen of New Jersey, very few specifics were revealed about the shooting. At 9:37 p.m. on Sunday, a man in his forties was shot in the chest and later died from his injuries.
At 12:22 a.m. on Monday, a 42-year-old man was fatally shot "in the 2400 block of Aramingo Avenue," making this incident the eighth deadly shooting to take place in less than 48 hours.
Over the course of the previous weekend, before the one mentioned above, at least 27 individuals were shot in Johnson's Chicago, according to Breitbart News. Five of the people who were shot later died as a result of their injuries. According to a database that is kept up to date by the Chicago Sun-Times, there were 420 individuals slain in Chicago between the dates of January 1, 2023 and September 17, 2023.
