You know the media is desperate when they go from manipulation and misrepresentation to outright lying.
That’s what happened when The Atlantic ran a story based on anonymous sources that claimed that Trump called fallen WWI soldiers “losers.”
That story held up for all of a few hours – that is, until non-anonymous sources that were actually there proved that it was a lie.
One of these sources was Trump enemy John Bolton, who has done his share to hurt the president. Apparently, the Atlantic’s attack was too much for even Bolton.
Former National Security Advisor John Bolton has disputed a story in The Atlantic claiming that President Donald Trump called fallen World War I soldiers “losers.” Bolton told the New York Times Friday that “I was there” and “I didn’t hear that.”
Bolton’s testimony isn’t the only thing that disproves the anonymously sourced story – FOIA documents also show it to be false.
On that Atlantic Story – @JeffreyGoldberg and his "four sources" claim Trump's helicopter flight to the US/French cemetery wasn't cancelled due to weather.
FOIA docs prove this to be false.
Their "sources" are failing basic fact checks – making them essentially worthless. pic.twitter.com/wAa7FrSxoW

It should be no surprise that the media is willing to lie to hurt Trump. The real surprise, at least for them, is that they’re so bad at lying that they end up hurting their own credibility more than his.
