White House worker warns journalists against asking Biden questions

A White House official warned reporters against asking President Joe Biden questions at a round table event on Wednesday.

The event with the leaders of energy companies included White House reporters, who were apparently not expected to address the president.

Biden has been regularly cited for being less available to the media during his term as president. In 2022, he has held only one press conference on Jan. 19.

Again last week, Biden exited following remarks without taking questions. The practice has become a pattern for the president.

In addition, during the height of the Omicron variant, just 14 White House reporters were allowed to attend events, further limiting freedom of the press.

The actions make Biden look like he’s hiding something or afraid of something. In either case, the look is not good for the person who is supposed to be leading the nation through a pandemic.
