White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki warned that President Joe Biden will override the efforts of Florida and Texas to oppose vaccine mandates in their states over COVID-19.
“We know that federal law overrides state law,” Psaki said during Tuesday’s press briefing.
“Why would you be taking steps that prevent the saving of lives that make it more difficult to save lives across the country or in any state?” she asked.
In July, Psaki said a national vaccine mandate is not the role of the government.

Three months later, her message is the opposite. She now says the White House opposes states that reject national vaccine mandates.
In contrast, Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis issued fined over 14 people fired due to refusing the coronavirus vaccine.
We must protect the jobs of Floridians and preserve the ability of Floridians to make their own decisions regarding what shots to take.

Texas Republican Gov. Greg Abbott signed an executive order this week banning any entity in the state from enforcing a vaccine mandate.
The growing battle over vaccine mandates will likely on intensify as the White House appears unexpected to back down on its overreach into the health of Americans.
