White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre nailed by Peter Doocy on classified documents scandal

Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy zinged White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre at Monday's news briefing, the Daily Wire reported. She laughed nervously after he asked "which four-letter word" she used after finding out about more classified documents in an ongoing scandal.

Jean-Pierre has continually told the press that there were no more classified documents mishandled by President Joe Biden than those already found. The first trove was discovered on Jan. 9 at an office used Biden used after his term as vice president ended, ABC News reported.

Just three days later, another batch of classified documents was discovered at Biden's Wilmington, Delaware home. A special prosecutor was appointed to handle the case.

The White House claimed Biden was fully cooperating and that all documents had been turned over. However, a further search of his home on Jan. 20 turned up yet another stash of documents improperly kept.

Moreover, they included some from Biden's time in the Senate which ended in 2009 when he joined the Obama administration. All along, members of the press, including Doocy, have been pushing Jean-Pierre for answers.

"When you found out that the FBI located even more classified materials in Wilmington, which four-letter word did you use?" Doocy pointedly asked Jean-Pierre. The two have sparred many times, but she seemed to be caught off-guard.

"Oh, my goodness, Peter," she laughed. Doocy quipped, "You can’t say? Okay."

Other members of the press have similarly come down hard on the administration in the midst of the scandal and their tight-lipped response. "Are you upset that you came out to this podium on Friday with incomplete and inaccurate information?" NPR Whitehouse correspondent Tamara Keith asked Jean-Pierre.

"And are you concerned that it affects your credibility up here?" Keith goaded. Newsmax Chief White House Correspondent James Rosen had also leaned on Jean-Pierre last week.

"Do you feel badly that you gave out false information?" Rosen asked. "You told us something six times that turned out to be false. Are you sorry about that?" Rosen tried again without getting a satisfactory response.

However, Jean-Pierre is in a bind because there isn't much she can say as the problem snowballs. Biden has not helped himself with his smug rebuttals that attempt to downplay the scandal.

"We found a handful of documents were filed in the wrong place," Biden told reporters on Jan. 19 while he was in California surveying storm damage, the Associated Press reported. "We immediately turned them over to the Archives and the Justice Department," he claimed.

Biden went on to claim he was "fully cooperating and looking forward to getting this resolved quickly" just the day before the third batch was found. "I think you’re going to find there’s nothing there," he said. "There’s no there there."

The president is in trouble with each passing day and each new document found. What this means for the future of his presidency -- and his re-election -- is still anyone's guess.
