White House press secretary Jen Psaki tests positive for COVID-19 just 4 months after first infection

White House press secretary Jen Psaki revealed she has tested positive for COVID-19 just four months after first testing positive for the virus.

“Jen Psaki revealed she met with Joe Biden twice on Tuesday but said they were ‘socially-distanced’ occasions that were not considered ‘close contact’ by the Centers for Disease Control,” according to Breitbart News.

“Today, in preparation for travel to Europe, I took a PCR test this morning. That test came back positive, which means I will be adhering to CDC guidance and no longer be traveling on the President’s trip to Europe,” Psaki said in a statement.

Psaki will no longer be traveling to Europe with Biden.

Despite her second positive test in four months, Psaki continued to “thank” the vaccine.

“Thanks to the vaccine, I have only experienced mild symptoms,” she said.

The news also comes as former First Lady Hillary Clinton recently tested positive for COVID-19, though cases nationwide have continued to decline overall in recent weeks, and the nation seeks to return to normal life following two years of pandemic restrictions.
