White House Domestic Policy Adviser tests positive for COVID on Monday

White House Domestic Policy Adviser Susan Rice has tested positive for COVID-19 according to an announcement made on Monday, according to Fox News.

The report indicated that she is the most recent member of President Joe Biden’s closest advisors to contract COVID-19.

“This morning I tested positive for COVID-19. I’m feeling fine and grateful to be vaccinated and double boosted,” Rice tweeted on Monday afternoon. “I last saw the President in person on Wednesday—masked—and under CDC guidance he is not considered a close contact.”

Rice is just the most recent in a long line of those close to Biden to have tested positive for the virus.

Along with Rice, Secretary of State Antony Blinken, White House Communications Director Kate Bedingfield, Vice President Kamala Harris, U.S. Army Chief of Staff Gen. James C. McConville, and Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack have all tested positive.

ABC News’ Jon Karl also tested positive for COVID-19 just days after interacting with Biden at the White House Correspondents Dinner, according to another report by Fox.

The ABC News employee accepted an award at the dinner and interacted with Biden on stage, just two days before his Monday evening positive test at an event where Comedian Trevor Noah joked it was his “great honor to be speaking tonight at the nation’s most distinguished super-spreader event.”
