The White House reported on Monday that Vice President Kamala Harris was tested for COVID-19 after meeting with Texas Democrats last week, including five members who have tested positive for the coronavirus.
“First I would say I think the vice president’s office put out that she was tested. And that there is no detection of Covid-19,” White House press secretary Jen Psaki told reporters on Monday.
“They also put out some specific details about their proximity to the individuals who tested positive as well.
“We take these precautions incredibly seriously and abide by the health — the guidance of our health and medical experts,” Psaki added during her Monday briefing.
According to Breitbart News, “Harris met Tuesday with the group of Texas Democrats who fled the state to block Republicans from passing election security laws. Five of the Texas Democrats who traveled to Washington, D.C., have now tested positive for the virus even though the group says they were fully vaccinated.”
Harris continued to encourage Americans to get vaccinated on Twitter Sunday, saying, “This Delta variant is no joke. Get vaccinated.”
