Conservatives have long been wary of a so-called “deep state: at every level of government working against their viewpoint. New information from anonymous informants proves those fears may be well-founded.

At least six whistleblowers have confirmed that the Federal Bureau of Investigation has been intentionally purging conservatives from its ranks, Timcast reported. One of those targeted was “a decorated war veteran who served in Iraq and Kuwait.”

Rep. Jim Jordan requested that the FBI “cooperate fully” with an investigation currently conducted through the Department of Justice’s Office of Inspector General and tied to the bureau’s conduct during the January 6 riots. The Ohio Republican tweeted a copy of the redacted letter he sent to FBI Director Christopher Wray Tuesday.

“Multiple whistleblowers have called it a purge of FBI employees holding conservative views,” Jordan wrote. He contended that anyone “engaging in disfavored political speech” was targeted.

One such whistleblower was slapped with retaliatory “adverse personnel action” for disclosing details about the FBI’s conduct during the incursion at the U.S. Capitol. Previously, that employee had a flawless record without any disciplinary action.

Yet another employee was similarly punished after revealing that the FBI was “not being entirely forthcoming about the events of January 6” and perhaps the bureau’s involvement in the events of that day. That revelation was dismissed as “conspiratorial,” and the agent’s patriotism was questioned.

Moreover, the unidentified agent’s security clearances were suspended. At the FBI, it’s known that revoking clearances is part of the process to fire an employee, a telling move considering previous stellar performance ratings. This agent was also a decorated veteran who was commended for valiancy and who had earned medals.

With so many whistleblowers coming forward, these accusations indisputably have some measure of merit. If they are indeed proven true, these actions confirm conservatives’ fears about a deep state that is embedded in every echelon of government and actively working against Republicans.
