President Joe Biden surprised Americans when he erroneously said that COVID-19 deaths were on the rise in a statement on Friday according to Breitbart News.
“To sum it up, look, COVID cases are down. COVID deaths are up,” Biden said while seeming to stare straight into his teleprompter:

Reporters at the scene were unclear if the mistake was made through incorrect verbiage on the prompter or if the president was talking off the cuff when he misrepresented the coronavirus deaths which have fallen steadily since mid-April.
Biden went, continuing with his summation of the status of the country saying that economic reports prove the country is recovering despite the disappointing jobs report from May.
“Unemployment filings are down, hunger is down, and vaccinations are up. Jobs are up. Wages are up. Manufacturing is up. Growth is up,” Biden said “America is finally on the move again.”
The Biden administration has been kept acutely aware of how successful his predecessor was at fostering economic growth, prior to the coronavirus shutdown in early 2020.
While Trump’s economic gains were severely impacted by an economy that all but flatlined due to the first pandemic in 100 years, possibly an even more devastating blow to the economy was the Biden administration’s decision to expand the almost socialist-level unemployment benefits and stimulus payments.
Despite widespread support for the initial increase in unemployment benefits and directly deposited payments to struggling Americans, the increase in payment for those who lost their jobs seems to have incentivized those who were previously gainfully employed to stay out of the workforce, putting massive stress on business owners.
