Presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren didn’t hold back when she described Republicans who she believes are doing the bidding of President Donald Trump.
During a New Year’s Eve speech in her home state of Massachusetts, Warren began her tirade by blasting Trump claiming the President has “become bolder with his lies and more brazen in his law-breaking.”
Warren, who has been criticized heavily for repeating a claim that she is a Native American, told her Boston audience she got no joy from Trump’s impeachment. She insisted it was merely the “duty” of the Democrat representatives to vote the way they did.
Warren didn’t just rip the President. She also delivered a heavily critical assessment of Republicans in Congress claiming they “have turned into fawning, spineless defenders of his crimes.”
“Unless some Senate Republicans choose truth over politics,” Warren said, “Donald Trump will be emboldened to try to cheat his way through yet another election.”
Earlier in December, the House impeached President Trump for abuse of power and obstructing Congress after allegations he attempted to get Ukraine to deliver negative information about 2020 Democratic rival, Joe Biden.
