VP Harris reveals US solar firm will be part of 'largest community solar order in history'

Presumably, in an attempt to not look completely useless for four years, Vice President Kamala Harris proudly touted a new solar farm development that she claims will spur thousands of jobs.

According to JustTheNews, the vice president announced a partnership between South Korea’s Qcells and Virginia's Summit Ridge Energy, combining for what the Biden administration labeled the "largest community solar order in U.S. history."

JustTheNews noted:

The overseas solar-cell manufacturer and United States solar firm are aiming to generate 1.2 gigawatts (GW) of energy through the manufacturing of 2.5 million solar panels as part of the White House's "Investing in America" effort. VP Harris predicted the move will bring 2,500 jobs to Georgians.

"Summit Ridge Energy, a commercial solar company, has announced a 1.2 GW module order with Qcells to support the development of 350 solar projects in the years ahead. The expansion of a partnership between the developer and the solar module manufacturer is the largest equipment purchase in history for the US community solar market. For the companies, the order represents the beginning of bringing US-made (at Qcells new plant in Dalton, Georgia) clean energy projects to communities both large and small," one Twitter user wrote.

The massive solar project was reportedly a result of President Joe Biden's "Inflation Reduction Act," which ironically had almost nothing to do with an attempt to reduce inflation, and everything to do with advancing the Democrats' phony green energy initiatives that will ultimately probably fail like the rest.

"A new solar energy deal will bring power to 140,000 homes and businesses in 3 states - The agreement calls for Qcells and Virginia-based Summit Ridge Energy to deploy community solar projects capable of generating 1.2 gigawatts of electricity in Illinois…" Olav Mitchell Underdal tweeted.

Harris, busy attempting to make it look like she's behind something big, failed to mention the inherent environmental dangers of massive solar farms, which one would think would be a primary concern for the very environmentalists pushing what they deem "clean energy."

Solar panels come with myriad environmental risks. The production process of solar panels involves the use of various hazardous chemicals such as lead, cadmium, and chromium. These chemicals can pose a serious risk to the environment if not handled properly during the manufacturing process or at the end of a solar panel's life.

If not recycled or disposed of properly, these chemicals can leak into soil and water sources, leading to environmental contamination and health risks to humans and wildlife.

Additionally, the production process of solar panels also requires significant amounts of energy, which can contribute to carbon emissions and climate change if the energy used is not from renewable sources.

That doesn't sound very "clean" to me.

According to CNBC, the new solar panels will likely be used in Illinois, Maine, and Maryland.

VP Harris revealed the partnership as part of the Biden administration's "Invest in America" tour last week, which was largely ignored by most of the country.
