Voters overwhelmingly support GOP's investigation into Biden family

When Republicans formally assume majority control of the House in January to kick off the 118th U.S. Congress, the Biden family might lose a little more sleep at night.

GOP lawmakers, and especially those set to assume high-powered committee chair positions, have already vowed that looking into Biden's family business deals is a top priority, and now they have overwhelming voter support to move forward with it.

According to Breitbart, a recent Rasmussen Reports poll revealed that 62% of voters approve of Rep. James Comer's (R-KY) promise to investigate the Biden family, including the president, and his son, Hunter Biden.

Forty-two percent of the survey's respondents "strongly approve" of Comer and his fellow GOP colleagues opening such an investigation.

Only 34% indicated that they disapprove, and only 23% of respondents "strongly" disapprove of an investigation into the Bidens.

Breitbart added: "Sixty-one percent of voters believe it is likely Joe Biden was consulted about and perhaps profited from his son Hunter's overseas business deals, including at least one involving a company in mainland China. Forty-four percent say it is very likely."

On Nov. 17, Comer, along with several Republican lawmakers, held a news conference during which he confirmed that the soon-to-be-controlled House Committee on Oversight and Reform, one of the most powerful committees in the lower chamber, will tackle the Biden investigation.

"In 2019, shortly after announcing his campaign for president, Joe Biden told the American people he had nothing to do with and never had conversations with his family about their business deals. That was a lie. Whistleblowers describe President Biden as "chairman of the board" for these businesses. He personally participated in meetings and phone calls," the Republicans' Oversight Committee website said.

It added: "Committee Republicans have identified over 50 countries the Biden family sought business in. On the international side of the Biden family business, the deals were often led by Hunter Biden."

Comer, and many others, are beyond convinced that the Bidens, especially Hunter Biden, has made mountains of illegal money selling access to his powerful, politically-connected father, even while he was the vice president of the United States.

"In the 118th Congress, this Committee will evaluate the status of Joe Biden's relationship with his family's foreign partners and whether he is a President who is compromised or swayed by foreign dollars and influence. I want to be clear: This is an investigation of Joe Biden, and that's where our focus will be next Congress," the Republicans' Oversight Committee website concluded.

The Bidens had better hop they have some of that cash left in the bank because they'll need all the best legal help they can get for the foreseeable future.
