A top Russian military leader has been killed by Ukrainian forces, according to Russian media.
Andrey Paliy, a Black Sea fleet commander, was shot dead in Mariupol, making him one of the top Russian leaders to die so far during the nation’s invasion of Ukraine.

“Andrey Paliy was about to be promoted to rear admiral. Five Russian generals have already been killed in 25 days of fighting in Ukraine,” Jack Detsch reported on Twitter.

Paliy has become one of several ranking leaders in Russia’s military to die in the unexpectedly strong Ukrainian resistance movement.
Many nations have assisted Ukraine with humanitarian aid or military supplies, including the U.S.
Despite supplies for Ukraine and sanctions against Russia, President Vladimir Putin continues his barrage of bombings on Ukrainian cities, killing thousands of innocent people.
