Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton criticized President Joe Biden on Wednesday over his open border policies, claiming his credibility on COVID is “gone.”
“The credibility of the president on COVID is gone,” Paxton told Harris Faulkner during a Fox News interview, according to Breitbart News.
“He is letting all these people in knowing they have COVID. They are being dropped off all over the country. I was talking to some Dallas police officers. They watched … a couple of buses unload in downtown Dallas in the middle of the night. These people just disappeared. Many of them have COVID,” Paxton said.
“And to be lectured about masks and vaccines by the administration, to be told when you are out of the country and a U.S. citizen, you can’t come back if you have COVID, is hypocritical,” he added.
Paxton noted the issue is not just about the border, but about the safety of Americans as well.
“I have lost complete respect for the president on the whole COVID issue given the fact that he is allowing people to cross the border and doesn’t seem to care,” Paxton said.
Last week, more than 1,500 illegal immigrants tested postive for COVID just in McAllen, Texas. The city is building a tent city area to house those who test positive.
The issue remains a glaring problem for the Biden administration. Biden cannot leave the border open and add lockdown restrictions on Americans without people noticing the clear contradictions.
