Ohio Republican Rep. Mike Turner said on Sunday that President Joe Biden will likely dismiss blame against the Wuhan lab for COVID-19 because “he has no interest” in criticizing China.
“He’s already blown it off in a number of ways to indicate that it’s not important. I mean, remember, he was uninterested in the origins of the virus, but wanted to give the vaccine of Pfizer and Moderna to China,” Turner told Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures.”
“This is clearly an administration that has no interest in pursuing China,” he added.
Despite growing evidence of the COVID-19 virus originating from the Wuhan Institute of Virology, the Biden administration is likely to not pursue action against China due to other interests, according to Turner.
Biden has currently deferred a decision regarding the matter to a 90-day investigation to discover the origin of the coronavirus.
Last week, Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) called on the Biden administration to hold the Chinese Communist Party accountable for the cover up.
“So, the money that the NIH gave went to an American organization, which turned around and gave hundreds of thousands of dollars to these Wuhan labs to investigate coronaviruses and, yes, to find ways to make them more contagious and more dangerous,” Cotton said, according to the Blaze.
The investigation continues, but information increasingly points toward a Wuhan lab as the mystery of COVID-19’s origin presses forward.
