Fox News host Tucker Carlson said during a speech on Friday that President Joe Biden will unlikely run in 2024, leaving a scramble for power in Washington.
Carlson shared the remarks during his keynote address at Iowa’s Family Leadership Summit.

“You have all the power,” he told the audience, “you can decide who represents you and on the basis of what issues.”
Politicians are “very simple organisms,” he quipped, but all they want to do is “win elections,” he added.
Tucker Carlson, who has flatly said he doesn’t want to run in 2024, opens by citing spending 2000 in Iowa w/ his then-young child and mentioning he may have done the “full Grassley” … he’s also talking up his connections to Iowa, which is, well, very #2024 pic.twitter.com/kg84IEW0f6

Carlson also predicted the scramble will start the Wednesday after the November midterm elections. The words have led at least some to speculate a run by Carlson for either president or another office, though he has flatly denied such rumors.
The strong words revealed the growing energy behind the idea of Biden leaving office early, either during his term or by not running again in 2024.
