Leftists thought their ruthless and incessant attacks against former President Donald Trump would silence him forever. However, they can’t seem to separate Trump from his loyal supporters.
A Redfield & Wilton Strategies poll conducted through June 15 found that Trump would win a matchup with President Joe Biden in 2024’s presidential election, Breitbart reported. The results were even more devastating for Democrats when Trump was pitted against Vice President Kamala Harris.
“If the candidates for the Presidential Election on November 5, 2024, are as follows, for whom will you vote?” the survey posed with the choices between Trump, Biden, and a generic ticket. Respondents were split between 41% for Trump and 38% for Biden, with 13% staying undecided.
Moreover, the poll found that those who voted for Trump in 2020 were more likely to stay loyal by 82% compared with three-quarters of Biden’s previous voters. Trump was strong even among independents, with 34% likely to vote for him again and 32% reporting they would pull the lever for Biden a second time, though 20% remain undecided.
These numbers look promising for Trump, but there’s a chance, given Biden’s age, that 2024 is a matchup with Harris. That prospect is even better for Trump, with 43% of respondents choosing him over her 37% share.
Though Trump has yet to announce whether he will run again, he has dropped hints, including a recent statement that he was “very close to making a decision.” Meanwhile, Biden will have to overcome many obstacles in 2024 if he wishes to be reelected.
Besides the problems Biden caused with the economy, high gas prices, and other blunders, new speculation about the president’s physical fitness for office has arisen. The president recently fell during a bike ride putting his physical frailty on full display once again.
Trump may not be the only Republican who can beat Biden, but it’s certainly telling that he’s still very much in the running despite the left’s best efforts. Democrats can’t destroy Trump because they didn’t help make him — and that’s the part that scares them the most.
