Trump suggests ill health could keep him from running for president in 2024

The longer President Joe Biden is in office, the more apparent it becomes that life was better under former President Donald Trump. He may get his chance to run again, but that doesn’t mean Trump will be up to it.

Trump said one thing that could prevent him from running for president in 2024 would be ill health, the Epoch Times reported. The 75-year-old former Republican president has yet to officially announce whether or not he will make a bid again.

In an interview Thursday, the former president revealed that his advisors said his physical condition would be a factor in deciding whether he should run for office again. “You always have to talk about health,” Trump reportedly said though he has been given a clean bill of health so far.

“You look like you’re in good health, but tomorrow, you get a letter from a doctor saying come see me again,” he added. “That’s not good when they use the word ‘again,'” Trump, who would be 78 by the time he was sworn into office a second time, said.

“I don’t want to comment on running, but I think a lot of people are going to be very happy by my decision,” Trump said, perhaps offering a hint. As to whether he feared others in his party whose names are often bandied about — Republicans like Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, former Vice President Mike Pence, or former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo — Trump thinks he wouldn’t face opposition from the GOP.

“If I ran, I can’t imagine they’d want to run,” he said to DeSantis, Pence, and Pompeo. “Some out of loyalty would have had a hard time running,” Trump added.

“I think that most of those people, and almost every name you mentioned, is there because of me,” Trump claimed. “In some cases, because I backed them and endorsed them,” he added.

Many people are clamoring to see Trump return as the nominee in 2024, regardless of his age or health. Especially in light of the mess, Biden has made, it’s undeniable that Trump is just what the country needs.

Trump unlike Biden will admit if he is not physically strong enough to do the job but I really hope he is and will. However, if he feels it is not in the country’s best interest and his health best interest he will not. I will go with Trump’s choice in that case as I trust his judgement. Trump does have good judgement unlike dementia Joe so wait and see.

If President Trump doesn’t run, I think any of those he mentioned would be good , but i would also add Dr. Ben Carson. I’m 82, I’ve slowed down quite a bit. We need a democracy, freedom, we are a Christian Nation. Thats the way we need to keep it.
