Trump slams 'cognitively impaired' Biden during NC rally

Questions surrounding President Joe Biden's cognitive status have persisted since before he even took office, and on Friday, former President Donald Trump described the situation in the starkest of terms, suggesting that it is especially dangerous during a time when the U.S. could conceivably be drawn into World War III, as Breitbart reports.

Trump made the remarks during one of his trademark rallies in Wilmington, North Carolina, last week, an event in which the former commander in chief took aim at Biden for the damage he has wrought upon the American economy over the past 18 months.

"But now, we are a nation in decline. We are a failing nation. We are a nation that has the highest inflation in 50 years and where the stock market finished the worst first half of the year since 1872," Trump declared.

Turning to what he views as the current administration's glaring foreign policy mistakes, Trump blasted Biden over the Russian invasion of Ukraine, suggesting that such a scenario "would never have happened" if he remained in office, and he also cautioned that Chinese perception of the current president's weakness could result in an invasion of Taiwan.

These precarious circumstances, argued Trump, are made all the more harrowing because "we have a president who is cognitively impaired and in no condition to lead our country, which may very well end up in World War III." WATCH:

The former president's observations about Biden's mental state gained additional support last week when, following a speech at the United Nations, the current leader of the free world appeared positively lost and confused while attempting to figure out whether and how to exit the stage. WATCH:

Though he may be among the most willing to publicly highlight Biden's eroding cognitive capacity, Trump is assuredly not the only one who has noticed it, with a recent ABC News/Washington Post poll revealing that a shockingly low 35% of Democrats want the president to seek a second term in 2024 – more proof that despite their best efforts, administration staffers have simply been unable to hide his staggering – and dangerous – decline from public view.
