In anticipation of President-elect Joe Biden’s entrance to the White House and subsequent administration that plans to subvert values, President Trump issued a major executive order that is sure to infuriate Democrats
Trump issued an executive order on Monday that establishes a garden that honors dozens of legendary Americans that embodied the spirit of American exceptionalism during their lives.
“The National Garden will be built to reflect the awesome splendor of our country’s timeless exceptionalism,” Trump wrote in the proclamation on Monday.
“It will be a place where citizens, young and old, can renew their vision of greatness and take up the challenge that I gave every American in my first address to Congress, to ‘[b]elieve in yourselves, believe in your future, and believe, once more, in America,'” the president continued.
Americans honored in the installment will include influential political figures, athletes, entertainers, and more.
The New York Post reported that some of the names included on the list of honorees include “Muhammad Ali, first man on the moon Neil Armstrong, NBA legend Kobe Bryant, singer Johnny Cash, Albert Einstein, Apple founder Steve Jobs, Frank Sinatra, Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg and “Jeopardy!” host Alex Trebek.”
Trump wrote that those chosen to be honored in the garden were chosen “for embodying the American spirit of daring and defiance, excellence and adventure, courage and confidence, loyalty and love.”
Trump’s decision comes after leftists mounted a shockingly successful campaign of destruction against hundreds of monuments to American exceptionalism, at times even targeting landmarks like Mount Rushmore.
“The National Garden is America’s answer to this reckless attempt to erase our heroes, values, and entire way of life,” Trump concluded. “On its grounds, the devastation and discord of the moment will be overcome with abiding love of country and lasting patriotism. This is the American way. When the forces of anti-Americanism have sought to burn, tear down, and destroy, patriots have built, rebuilt, and lifted up. That is our history.”
The site of the proposed garden is to be determined by a task force created to oversee the construction of the monument.
