Former President Donald Trump revolutionized the Republican Party with his novel, straightforward approach to winning the hearts of Americans. Now it looks like his family will keep that trend going.

Donald Trump Jr. has promised to be “everywhere” in the 2022 midterm elections to retake Congress, the Washington Examiner reported. The former president’s eldest son will join his father in pursuit of a Republican majority to thwart Democrats’ agenda — and who knows what else in the future.

The younger Trump made his remarks to Fox News Friday. He was interviewed just before giving his own speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Dallas, Texas.

“I’m going to be very involved,” Trump Jr. promised. “I’m the father of five young kids, I’m a patriotic American, I love this country, and I look at what’s going on and someone has to push back,” he said about stopping the Democratic Party and President Joe Biden’s radical agenda.

“There’s not many people that have sort of the privilege of having a big platform,” Trump Jr. said also noting he’s also “willing to use it to sort of go against the mainstream narrative.” His high-profile position includes serving as a trustee and executive vice president of The Trump Organization. He also has 6.8 million followers on Twitter.

“It’s a battle that we have to have” he concluded. “I’m happy to do it, it’s an honor.”

As far as Trump Jr.’s political future, he said he hasn’t thought about it though Americans seem excited at the prospect. “There’s some people talking about it in terms of polls,” he said.

“I’ve seen a bunch that has me high up on the list if not at the top of it,” Trump Jr. continued. “Who knows. The reality with that job is you also have to want to do the day job. It’s not just about the campaigning. I love being in that fight. I love fighting for the things that are out there that I believe in as a conservative. I will do that irrespective,” he said.

Donald Trump Jr. certainly appears to be a rising star. While his father is the true focus and thrust of the new Republican Party revitalization, now may be the time for him to pass the baton to his son — and that would be a good thing for America.
