House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) took a cheap shot at President Trump on Monday evening, remarking that someone in his “weight group — morbidly obese” should not be taking hydroxychloroquine.
Donald Trump revealed in response that he believes Pelosi is having her own health crisis, telling reporters on Tuesday that she’s a “sick woman” with “mental problems.”
Nancy Pelosi is not a doctor, mind you, but she still apparently believes she has the authority to comment on a decision made privately between a physician and his patient.
This isn’t the first time Trump has come out swinging against Pelosi, making similar remarks in response to Pelosi’s bombshell accusation in March that “as the president fiddles, people are dying.”
“These people are sick. Pelosi is a sick woman. She’s got a lot of problems. A lot of mental problems,” Trump told reporters on Tuesday.”
“We’re dealing with people that have to get their act together for the good of the country,’ he added.
Fox News’ Tucker Carlson weighed in on the explosive controversy, commenting on Tuesday that he typically avoids attack people based on their appearance, “but we would remind the speaker of the House that people with glass faces should not throw stones.”
