Trump endorses Gov. Kristi Noem for re-election

Former President Donald Trump has endorsed South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem on Tuesday afternoon in a statement pushing support for her reelection campaign, according to The Washington Examiner.

The former president had a glowing report for the current governor of South Dakota talking about her support for some of the most serious Pillars of his campaign platform.

“She is strong on Borders, the Second Amendment, preserving land and Energy Dominance, Medical Freedom, and kept South Dakota open during COVID,” Trump said.

“She fully supports our great Law Enforcement, Military, our wonderful Vets — and is a fighter for the incredible people of South Dakota. Kristi has my Complete and Total Endorsement!”

Noem said she would be honored to receive the former president’s endorsement, indicating that she has nothing but appreciation for the former president’s support.

Thank you, Mr. President. I appreciate your friendship and support over the years.

“I look forward to continuing to fight for our shared agenda if elected to serve a second term as governor of the great state of South Dakota,” she added.

Criticism for Noem from the left has also come from primary challenger in 2022 from state Rep. Steve Haugaard who claims that she is not conservative enough:

“Kristi Noem has been beholden to special interests, from the NCAA, to big business, to corporate lobbyists,” Haugaard said of his opponent during his formal campaign announcement in November.
