Trump demands DOJ action on Hunter Biden’s laptop

President Trump is putting pressure on Attorney General Bill Barr to act swiftly to investigate emails on Hunter Biden’s laptop.

“We have got to get the attorney general to act. He’s got to act and he’s got to act fast. He’s gotta appoint somebody. This is major corruption and this has to be known about before the election,” Trump declared on Tuesday.

The president and key Republicans are disappointed in AG Barr whom they perceive to be acting too slowly on investigations into the origins of the Russian collusion hoax and now the Hunter Biden revelations.

The FBI has been in possession of the laptop for almost a year, but the contents of the laptop weren’t public until the New York Post broke the story last week.

The Biden campaign has gone into hiding without either confirming or denying that the laptop in question belongs to Hunter Biden.

Democrat Adam Schiff has taken point on running cover for the Biden family by claiming that the emails contained on the laptop are Russian disinformation and that President Trump is running a smear campaign authored by the “Kremlin.” He claims to have seen intelligence supporting his claim.

But according to the Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe, there is no such intelligence. He dispelled Schiff’s arguments. “Let me be clear. The intelligence community doesn’t believe that because there is no intelligence that supports that.”

According to The Epoch Times, the laptop contains emails tying Joe Biden to Hunter Biden’s business associates in Ukraine and China.

Emails that allegedly belonged to Hunter Biden, sourced from a laptop that was purportedly left at a repair shop in Delaware, revealed that he may have arranged a meeting between his father, who was the vice-president at the time, and a Ukrainian gas executive. Hunter Biden was sitting on the board of the same energy firm, Burisma Holdings. The Biden campaign and Hunter Biden’s lawyer have both denied the claims that the elder Biden met with the executive.
