Tuesday night quickly morphed into total disaster for President Donald Trump’s campaign, with a number key swing states experiencing various issues that caused them to stop counting ballots, leaving America without the slightest clue as to who won the presidency.
According to Breitbart, in Wisconsin, which finally updated its ballot count to the point where the media could call it a winner for former Vice President Joe Biden, the Trump campaign immediately moved to demand a recount, setting up a potentially long, drawn-out process to determine a winner.
Trump’s campaign manager, Bill Stepien, made the announcement following a string of mainstream media outlets who were finally able to make the call in favor of Biden, in a race that appears to have been won by a matter of thousands of votes.
“There have been reports of irregularities in several Wisconsin counties which raise serious doubts about the validity of the results,” Stepien said in a Wednesday statement.

As of this writing, the official results indicate that Biden garnered a 20,697 vote lead to narrowly beat Trump in the highly sought-after “Rust Belt” state. Steppien added that the narrow advantage means that “The President is well within the threshold to request a recount and we will immediately do so.”
While the idea of a recount is dreadful for supporters of the president, it’s even more tedious given the fact that the process of a formal recount won’t begin until December 1 at the earliest, as that is when the results are sent to the state for certification, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
One important caveat is that a recount can only take place as long as the candidate demanding one — in this case, Trump, — remains within one percentage point of his opponent. Otherwise, it won’t happen.
Only time will tell if a recount will change the results of this historic election, but for now, you can’t count on former Vice President Biden’s campaign to proceed as if they have the state in the bag.
