In a move that’s sure to enrage liberals, President Trump has directed US authorities to restrict entry by foreign citizens in the country. Once again President Trump is at the forefront of protecting Americans.
On Sunday, the White House announced new travel restrictions on entry from Brazil, a country which is suffering a massive wave of new coronavirus infections. (Tell me again how borders are outdated?)
The Washington Examiner reports:
“Today, the President has taken decisive action to protect our country by suspending the entry of aliens who have been in Brazil during the 14-day period before seeking admittance to the United States,” White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany said in a statement on Sunday.
“Today’s action will help ensure foreign nationals who have been in Brazil do not become a source of additional infections in our country,” she added. “These new restrictions do not apply to the flow of commerce between the United States and Brazil.”
Trump was quick to shut down travel from China early in the crisis, and his latest move shows that it was no accident.
After all, Trump built his campaign on the premise that borders matter, and protecting American citizens is a crucial part of border security.
How can Democrats and the media, who till just recently appeared to believe that the concept of borders was outdated, use these national boundaries to protect our citizens?
The short answer is that they can’t.
