Trump-backed Mehmet Oz booed at Pennsylvania Trump rally

Among the many running to take a Republican Senate seat out of Pennsylvania is celebrity doctor Mehmet Oz, who should be at the top of the heap, given that he’s received a certified endorsement from former President Donald Trump, which remains a golden ticket this election season for any candidate.

While Trump’s endorsed candidates, so far, have gone an impressive 55-0, Oz could be the first possible bad luck pick for the former president, as he is certainly not liked among Trump conservatives, and that was proven at a rally on Friday night, when the audience booed the celebrity doctor, according to Breitbart.

The scene at the Pennsylvania rally was confirmation that a vast majority of Trump supporters are not on board with Oz as a primary pick, mainly given the fact that his past record has been called out by prominent Trump supporters and past Trump Cabinet members.

Given that Trump doesn’t like to lose, even once, many have wondered if it’s possible that Trump could pull his endorsement of Oz before the Pennsylvania primary on May 17, though it would likely result in a chaotic, confusing mess for voters.

Before Oz was set to be introduced at the rally alongside a number of other high-profile Trump-endorsed candidates and allies, several of his campaign ads played on the big screens, and the crowd burst into roaring “boos.”

“I have yet to meet anyone here who is a firm supporter of Dr. Oz. In fact, there’s a whole section of people that boos every time he appears on screen,” Huffington Post reporter Daniel Marans tweeted.

Others have speculated that Trump also isn’t a huge fan of Oz, but simply picked him given he had the best odds of winning at the time.

Unfortunately, that may not be true anymore, as the race is now open for three top Republicans, including Oz.
