Texas Republican Gov. Greg Abbott announced on Wednesday that his state plans to bus illegal immigrants released in his state to Washington, D.C., after President Joe Biden’s plan to end Title 42 to stop migrants at the border.
Abbott ordered the Texas Division of Emergency Management to prepare buses for the action that was announced during a press conference on Wednesday afternoon.

“To help local officials whose communities are being overwhelmed by hordes of illegal immigration who are being dropped off by the Biden administration, Texas is providing charter buses to send these illegal immigrants who have been dropped off by the Biden administration to Washington, D.C.,” Abbott said.
“We are taking them to the United States Capitol where the Biden administration will be able to more immediately address the needs of the people that they are allowing to come across our border,” the governor added.
The response comes as the governor said the Biden administration is already busing illegal immigrants to San Antonio.
“I’ve got a better idea. Instead of busing these people to San Antonio, let’s continue the ride — all the way to Washington, D.C.,” Abbott said.
The new move is controversial but comes as the proper response to the Biden administration’s open border policies.
