Former Joe Biden staffer Tara Reade, who accused Biden of sexually assaulting her during his Senate campaign in the 1990s, came forward with a heartbreaking revelation about Biden’s installation in the White House.
“Yesterday was exceptionally hard on many levels, because the media, certain media outlets made it so clear that I was to be smeared, ignored, and erased. And they were pretty successful in doing so,” Reade told Fox News on Thursday.
Reade charged Biden with sexual assault during his Presidential campaign in early 2020, but she was silenced by the Biden campaign and a sympathetic news media. The #MeToo and #BelieveAllWomen campaigns only apply to those accusing Republican politicians.
Despite her best efforts to reveal the truth about “Uncle Joe,” Biden was never required to answer to the bombshell accusations, and the story was so successfully suppressed that the American public forgot all about her allegations during the general election.
Reade described watching Biden’s Wednesday inauguration as a “nightmare” that she couldn’t wake up from.
“To watch this powerful man who I’ve worked for, who I had admired when I first worked for him and then later became horrified of what he did, to watch him ascend to the most powerful job in the world,” Reade explained, “I can’t really describe the feeling except I keep wanting to wake up from a nightmare.”
Far from a GOP loyalist, Reade now identifies herself as a “progressive independent” after spending much of her life as a dedicated Democrat.
Reade holds the Democrat establishment responsible for Biden’s ascendance to the highest office in the nation, noting that “The Democratic Party continues to be complicit with sexual misconduct. It will only shine a light on it when it’s a Republican or someone else.
“And until sexual misconduct is seen as non-partisan, institutionalized rape culture will stay in place and powerful men will continue to be able to get away with crimes,” she cautioned, “and not only get away with it but be rewarded with more power.”
