Supreme Court rules against Air Force lieutenant colonel who won’t get vaccine

The Supreme Court of the United States says it won’t involve itself in the ruling by the military about a mandate that a lieutenant colonel in the Air Force Reserve defied, according to The Washington Examiner

Lt. Col. Jonathan Dunn was removed from his command after refusing the vaccine on religious grounds, which caused the military to carry out their punishment of removal from the service.

The action was taken against Dunn following nearly two decades of service as a trainer and commander despite him arguing he was seeking “protection against further punishment, including a discharge.”

According to the Examiner, the justices gave no reason for their refusal, which is a common practice in emergency requests. However, three Republican-appointed members, Justices Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito, and Neil Gorsuch, dissented to the decision, according to court records.

“The court’s order stands as an interim measure that denies relief while the plaintiff’s appeals proceed. Lt. Col. Jonathan Dunn was removed from his command following nearly two decades of service as a trainer and commander, arguing he was seeking ‘protection against further punishment, including a discharge,'” the Examiner reported.

Justice Department’s Solicitor General Elizabeth Prelogar, said the Air Force determined “that vaccination of service members is an essential component of military readiness and is critical to protecting the health and safety of service members.”

This decision came after President Joe Biden and Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin asked the SCOTUS several times to turn down lawsuits that would disrupt military vaccine policies.

The Biden Administration called the previous requests by service members an “unprecedented intrusion into core military affairs” that had “no precedent in American history.”

Anyone who follows politics know that the vaccine and boosters don’t work. Look at Nancy Pelosi, she is fully vaccinate yet came down with Covid. The risk verses benefits aren’t lining up.
