President Trump has won yet another victory in the Supreme Court – and this is before Amy Coney Barrett has been confirmed.
The Supreme Court refused to hear a case brought by 29 Democratic senators, that alleged that President Trump had violated the emoluments clause by retaining ownership in companies that did business in foreign countries.
The refusal to take the case means that at least 5 of the Supreme Court justices refused to hear it, indicating that even some liberal justices were not persuaded.
This is the second time a court has slapped down the Democrats. The original case was denied by a federal appeals court judge.
It’s looking more and more like the Supreme Court is our last bastion of sanity, and it’s one that should be strengthened after the confirmation of Judge Barrett.
