Supreme Court closing in on source of the Roe v. Wade leak

According to the Wall Street Journal, US Supreme Court investigators are getting closer to locating the individual who leaked the Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe v. Wade (WSJ).

Last May, the Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe v. Wade and return the abortion debate to the states was leaked. The unprecedented leak was the first in modern history of the Supreme Court, according to Breitbart News.

SCOTUSBlog, an independent analysis site, called the Roe leak "the gravest, most unforgivable sin."

Chief Justice John Roberts assigned Supreme Court marshal Gail Curley to investigate the leak one day after it occurred. Curley and the Supreme Court's 189-member in-house police force, on the other hand, have "brought in assistance from outside government investigators," according to the WSJ.

SCOTUS investigators have now “narrowed their inquiry to a small number of suspects including law clerks, but officials have yet to conclusively identify the alleged culprit,” the Wall Street Journal reported.

Apart from reports in June that SCOTUS investigators demanded Justices' law clerks sit for interviews and hand over their cellphones, the Wall Street Journal report contains the most information to come out of the investigation.

As WSJ reported:

The interviews were sometimes short and superficial, a person familiar with the matter said, consisting of a handful of questions such as “Did you do it? Do you know anyone who had a reason to do it?” Investigators relied in part on publicly available information about court employees to develop theories, the person said.

In the aftermath of the unprecedented Roe v. Wade leak, a network of far-left militant groups orchestrated targeted attacks on pro-life institutions nationwide, as Breitbart News editor-in-chief Alex Marlow reported in his "summer of rage" series.

Since the decision was leaked in early May, more than 100 attacks on churches, pro-life organizations, and pregnancy resource centers have occurred, according to the Family Research Council (FRC).

The conservative group reported data, there have been more than 100 attacks against pro-life organizations nationwide since the beginning of May, many of which have been attributed to Jane's Revenge, a far-left militant group that has claimed responsibility for much of the violence.

Jane's Revenge has received backing from leftwing activist networks, particularly those in the Madison, Wisconsin area.

Just two days before the first Molotov cocktail attack on Wisconsin Family Action on May 8, 2022, a group called International Workers of the World (IWW) of Madison Wisconsin posted a history of the Jane Collective, the 1960s pro-abortion group that inspired Jane's Revenge.

Other radical groups in Madison expressed support for the attack on Wisconsin Family Action. Unnamed Autonomous Collective, a group calling itself Unnamed Autonomous Collective, issued a statement praising the attack and calling for more.

We enthusiastically support militant action to destroy the records, servers, clipboards, and desks used to organize Wisconsin Family Action's heinous operations. This and similar actions bring the consequences of fascist actions back to their doorstep. It calculates the monetary and psychological costs of their ongoing campaign of violence and serves to motivate others to take action.
