Delaware's Supreme Court ruled against same-day voter registration and voting by mail in a major election integrity case.
The decision is a crushing blow to Democrats in President Joe Biden's home state.

“The Delaware Supreme Court has issued an opinion that universal mail-in voting and same-day registration violate the constitution. This past summer, the Delaware General Assembly passed a law allowing universal mail-in voting and same-day voter registration," WMDT reported.
"The Public Interest Legal Foundation then filed a lawsuit against the law, alleging that it violated Delaware’s Constitution. In the opinion, the Court states that Article V, Section 4A of the Delaware Constitution only allows for absentee voting in certain enumerated circumstances. In addition, the Court writes that the state constitution establishes a deadline for voter registration,” it added.

Ken Blackwell, a Public Interest Legal Foundation (PILF) board member and former GOP secretary of state for Ohio, noted that “election integrity should be an issue all Americans can support.”
“The fact that this might be the first time a state supreme court has struck down a state election law highlights the perilous times we are in, where partisan politicians are willing to cross lines that have never been crossed, willing to seize and keep power at all costs,” Blackwell noted further in a statement.

The organization has also found success in election integrity work in Minnesota.
"Three Minnesota counties are being forced to remove more than 350 duplicate registrations on their voter rolls after legal complaints were filed against them by the Public Interest Legal Foundation (PILF)," Breitbart News reported.
"In September, as Breitbart News reported, PILF filed six complaints in six Minnesota counties, alleging that more than 500 duplicate registrations were on their voter rolls ahead of the midterm elections," it added.
The new cases are important steps in better securing future elections following reports of irregularities in some parts of the nation.
The protection of elections remains key for all parties as the nation seeks to protect democracy for all.
