Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham (R-SC) stunned Washington D.C. on Friday by releasing critical documents exposing the Trump-Russia collusion investigation that Democrats used to attack Trump from the outset of his presidency.
After releasing the bombshell documents, Graham called the investigation — labelled “Crossfire Hurricane” — as “one of the most incompetent and corrupt investigations in the history of the FBI and DOJ.”
Democrats and the mainstream media pushed the theory that President Trump colluded with the Russian government to influence the 2016 election for years, tying up our government in claims that Trump was illegitimately elected for the vast majority of his time in the White House.
‘”I consider the Crossfire Hurricane investigation a massive system failure by senior leadership, but not representative of the dedicated, hardworking patriots who protect our nation every day at Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Department of Justice,” Graham said in a statement Friday, adding that he’s released “as much material as possible,” though some classified information will still be withheld.
The documents released by Graham on Friday included transcripts of interviews with FBI and Justice Department officials conducted by Graham’s committee between March 3, 2020 and October 29, 2020.
Graham declared that Intelligence community leaders Andrew McCabe and James Comey turned a “blind eye … toward any explanation other than the Trump campaign was colluding with foreign powers. At every turn the FBI and DOJ ran stop signs that were in abundance regarding exculpatory information.”
Unfortunately, though Democrats were allowed to question and undermine the legitimacy of the 2016 election for years following Trump’s installation in the White House, they will afford no such luxury to those questioning the results of the 2020 election.
Additionally, though it’s important for Graham and others like him to release and declassify documents exposing the attempted coup against Donald Trump, it’s likely too little, and far too late.
