Missouri Republican Sen. Josh Hawley is urging the U.S. to speed up its shipping of weapons to Taiwan, saying the Biden administration can’t wait until it’s “too late.”

The words were made during an interview published by the Washington Free Beacon.

“In true form, CCP goons respond to any attempt to protect Taiwan from invasion with violent threats and prevarications,” he explained.

The strong words follow a recent $95 million arms agreement approved with Taiwan.

Hawley also introduced the Taiwan Weapons Export Act last week to speed up shipment of weapons to the nation as it faces concerns from neighboring China.
