Arkansas Republican Gov. Tom Cotton said on Tuesday that President Joe Biden could potentially face an impeachment inquiry over his failures in handling the border crisis.
Cotton made the comments during an interview on Fox News’s “The Ingraham Angle,” responding to a video released on Tuesday of migrants being released and shipped to other parts of the U.S.
“do you discount the possibility that the House could actually bring up a serious perhaps impeachment inquiry just on this issue of the border alone? Is that out of the realm of possibility?” Ingraham asked.
“No, Laura, I don’t think it’s out of the realm of possibility,” Cotton replied.
“Because of all of the abuses of the Biden administration, I think what the Department of Homeland Security has done to undermine American sovereignty, to open our borders, to undercut wages and jobs for American workers is probably the most egregious and they’re open about it,” he added.
The video Cotton responded to included footage from Brownsville, Texas, where migrants were given travel folders and were allowed to walk to a bus stop to board for other parts of the country.

The concerning video adds to the growing border crisis that led to more than two million migrants crossing the southern border in 2021.
