Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff, husband of Kamala Harris, tests positive for COVID-19

Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff, the husband of Vice President Kamala Harris, has tested positive for COVID-19.

Harris has tested negative, according to the White House.

“The Vice President tested negative for COVID-19 today and will continue to test,” Harris spokesperson Sabrina Singh said.

“I’m told, by the way, when he does that, he’s fine. But out of abundance of caution, she decided she wasn’t going to join us today. But let’s send her our love because she’s something of, you know, how proud she is of our team of real change,” President Joe Biden said on Tuesday.

The news comes shortly after former President Barack Obama also tested positive for COVID-19.

The positive cases reveal that despite lower case numbers, the virus continues to cause problems among many Americans, including those serving at the highest levels of government.
